About EastNet Media

EastNet Media is an independent online newsroom serving the Teso sub-region. We report on the stories that matter to our communities — politics, health, business, education, agriculture, and the steady pulse of daily life.

Our mission

To publish accurate, timely and locally rooted journalism, free for everyone. We believe a well-informed community makes better decisions, and that good reporting starts with listening to the people on the ground.

How we work

Every story passes through a simple editorial chain: a journalist reports and drafts, an editor reviews facts and fairness, and each piece is dated and categorised so you can find it easily. We correct errors openly when we make them, and we credit sources fairly.
